Thank you, Mr. Speaker. Mr. Speaker, I rise to present the Business Statement for the Fifth Week ending Friday, 13th February, 2009. In doing so, I want to go through the Explanatory memorandum before getting to the detailed Business Statement for the week in question.
Introduction
Rt. Hon Speaker, the Committee met on Thursday, 29th January 2009 and arranged Business of the House for the Fifth Week ending Friday, 13th February
2009.
Rt. Hon Speaker, I, on behalf of the Committee respectfully submit the report as follows:

Rt Hon Speaker, the Appointments Committee is expected to present its reports on H.E the President's nominations for Ministerial Appointments during the week. Reports of Leadership on re- constitution of the membership of the Pan- African Parliament and of the membership of the ECOWAS Parliament are expected to be presented to this august House in the course of the week.
Rt. Hon Speaker, the Report of the Committee of Selection on the Composition of the Standing and Select Committees is also expected to be laid in the House.
Statements and Motions
Rt. Hon Speaker may allow Statements to be made on the floor of the House. Debate on motions and their Consequential Resolutions, if any, may also be taken.
Conclusion
Rt. Hon Speaker, in accordance with Standing Order 160 (2) and subject to Standing Order 53, the Committee submits to this honourable House the order in which the Business of the House shall be taken during the week.

Statement as presented is adopted. No Statements have been admitted, so we move on to the Commencement of Public Business - May I call on the Majority Leader for directions.

Madam Speaker,
I beg to move, that this House do now adjourn to tomorrow 10.00 a.m. in the forenoon when we will reconvene to allow -- [Interruptions] - Sorry, it is only the
Appointments Committee that will be sitting tomorrow, not the whole House. The House should adjourn to Tuesday, 10th February, 2009 - [Interruptions.] The Appointments Committee is scheduled to commence proceedings immediately after adjournment and members of the Committee are urged to attend in their numbers. Hon Members are also encouraged to participate.
Madam Speaker, I beg to move for adjournment. Thank you.
Minority Leader (Mr. Osei Kyei-
Mensah-Bonsu): Madam Speaker, I beg to second the motion but in doing so, I just want to re-emphasise the point the Hon Majority Leader has made. That the Appointments Committee will be
commencing sitting today, it will continue tomorrow, Saturday, which is not a normal Sitting day for Parliament and will continue on Monday which is also not a normal Sitting day.
The Hon Majority Leader has signalled that we are adjourning to Tuesday, 10.00 a.m. in the forenoon. I am not too sure what he means by that but I will second it all the same, Madam Speaker.
